Actually, if you calculate what today's entrance fee "should be" based on the price of £3 in the late 80s when Fax were attracting crowds of 8k to Thrum Hall, and increasing it by the average rate of inflation of 3%, today's entrance "should" be £7.28.
It's therefore no wonder "floating" fans will NOT pay £17 (or £19 on the day) especially when there's so much alternative cheaper stuff to do. Just the die hard RL fans remain with the "churn" getting weaker by the year. There needs to be a complete overall of matchday entertainment to justify the price of the ticket.
