Pretty much agree with you Smithy on most of your points, I also I'll add don't think Calland should be sacked, the big picture shows he has done/is doing a good job.

I think peoples frustrations are born from the fact this season we could have (I reckon) done a Hull KR when they went up and dominated the league. Theres no stand out club like before, it was there for the taking.

The cup semi at home was a bitter pill to swallow, then from that game what was to follow has upset and angered people as they think oh heck here we go again, close but no cigar.

Fans are upset as we are throwing away a fantastic chance to do something special this season, it was there for the taking, ours to lose and we seem to be intent on throwing it away.

Fact is despite the lack of maybe some forward firepower, a centre and a stand off we have the players to do a job (they did it for first half of the season) we have the players and their is only one thing more frustrating then losing and thats losing when your team is not playing to its potential and thats where we are now.

In the past the fans can handle losing as to be fair the team didnt carry the weight of expectation as the present one does. Losing when you know your team is so much better or can do so much more is the big gripe.

Sharky my old fruit always nice to hear the voice of reason and I agree with you pretty much. Doubts have crept in regarding Calland but I just think he could do with an old head to help out right now. Its not done Barrow any harm.

All I've ever wanted is effort and recently I believe its been missing.

Chris, you and i know its pointless saying we should be SL or are the best team in the league, we need to prove it and its hard work, dedication. passion, discipline 80 mins of effort. You speak your mind fella, nowt wrong with it.

Weve been in play off eliminators, been top, finished in the top 3, we haven't gone that extra step, and until we do, or until we show pride and stop letting in big scores then the team and club aren't helping themselves, we need to make finals if were going to progress, Matt and Martin have been with us in various capacities for a few years, we want to see us keeping pushing on to the next level, SL or Grand finals are a long long way off right now, we need to focus on one game at a time and start winning ugly, its something we haven't mastered yet.

I fully agree with chris and his posts . I've watched fax for around 28 years now though the good times and the bad times and I'm getting fed up with the pc fans on here saying u can't boo the team , stop slagging off player and the coach because your up setting them . What a load of balls if fax play well then I will clap them off the pitch , but on the other hand if they play like a set of w****rs . Then I will call them all the names under the sun and make my feeling known to them . This could / should be the best season we have had for a long time and at the mo the team seem to want to mickey it away .hopefully the team / coach will read the message board and have a long hard look at themsevles . I can't remember who said about we will be left with hard core fans but will we . If people like chris (30years) my bro (18years) me (28years) my mum (35years) and my dad (50years) are getting fed up u can bet there will be a lot more hard fans in the same mind set

Cheers mate for the support!! - Like I've said previously, people on here (and I include some of the moderators) seem hell bent on shouting down non regular contributors all too quickly if an opinion is different to theirs. I'm still fuming at being accused of lying over how many years I've watched Fax for, which at the time was totally uncalled for and out of context of the conversation. I can't help maybe looking younger than I am when "others" have obviously had a hard paper round.

I've had to miss loads of games this last couple of seasons, but I do know that every game I have been to, Chris has been there, and for 5 years or so that I was supporting prior to this last couple of seasons.

Weren't you also one of the founders of the Supporters Trust Chris?

Hey Up Ian - Good to see you kicking about!! - Yes I was a one of the few responsible for starting the Supporters Trust up and even though time in the day job dictates I can no longer have any involvement I do feel quite proud of what it has gone on to achieve.

I was apparently even at the Cawoods game but don't remember as I was only about 3 and took along by my dad who ran the supporters club shop at the time (which was where the Taverners used to be before being moved to under the Main Stand), So I could say I've gone for 32 years!!!
