may i ask which bozo thought it would be a good idea to hand out them to a bunch of inconsistent primadonnas this is an absolute joke the club has struggled with money and almost gone bust in recent times and we decide to go throw top dollar at a bunch of wasters

Probably some bozo looking to the future, wanting us to retain our players before other clubs came in for them and we were left with which ever players hadn't been snapped up? Its a disgrace that our coaching staff wanted to look to the future I agree SL will be a three year mission, winning this year will mean nothing if our players then got snapped up by SL sides and left us struggling in the years before the next franchise round

Well said, we all know the players we have signed up are good, they just need to get back to showing us how good they are, win at Sheffield and they will.

It makes me think that a dip in form and perhaps a trophyless season this year could be a blessing in disguise. We win the GF; The super league vultures come in for those players not yet tied up and even possibly buy our players that are (no-doubt by making their interest public, disrupting the players, and signing them for a fraction of their value as often seems to be the case) and we end up having a poor couple of seasons (look at Leigh this year we're not too big to go struggle). And we get complacent because we've already ticked a SL box. Alternatively we become more determined to win next year and keep the majority of our current team.

We are not going into SL. I know you have to aim high but realistically it isnt going to happen.
We now have a bunch of guys with 2 year contracts in the bag and a big group of players who dont know where they are playing next season. It cant be good for team morale especially as some of the players given 2 year contracts havnt performed.

the whole system is a joke.contracts should not be allowed to renew until the end of the season.at that stage you can determine who is worthy of a contract or not after a full season.this mid season ruling is pathetic and causes all sorts of needless problems.

thr RFL have always been pathetic in dealing with poaching before the deadline, thats why needed to tie em up quickly.

Remember you dont have to win the GF to tick the SL box, just getting there does it. But you have to win the NRC to tick the same box, losing NRC finalists do not get a tick.
