Ok, so Fax could have played better, but one or two things to think about...

1) The bookies handicap was 16 to Leigh, we won by 32.

2) We gifted 2 tries (let's not even talk about them!), which accounted for 12 of the 16 points (or 10 if one of TJ's is to be believed!).

3) We scored 48 points, having bombed a few good positions on the way.

4) Some of the tries were top class.

I think our expectations have risen considerably...

we didnt even hit 2nd gear 2nite! nowhere near....

ever dependable royston had a shocker, goddard did little. and govin was non existent... but we still won by a mile! nevr looked in doubt.

Win in Toulouse now and that will do for me , wasn't a great performance but we did score some good tries, especially Frankies . Leighs defence was shocking at times they just don't look to be putting enough effort in, didn't take much to bust through them at all. Shame because the Leigh fans deserve much better than that hope they do stay up but Gateshead do look better than them no doubt, will Batley falter ?
Lets start putting presure on Barrow now by stringing the results together again.

It was too easy at times, that was a very poor Leigh team.
Well done to the lads for coming out and putting a marker down to make the result a formality but I do wish we would stop dropping the ball and giving away silly tries.
You get bad habits and they need to be nipped in the bud.
Sad times for Leigh, not many made it over which was understandable and they look like the second relegation team with Donny. Hope they stay up.

Leigh will come back a stronger club for this season whatever happens. Strength comes out of adversity and I wish them well. Talking about bonding about 10 of the Fax squad were so impressed with Newcastle after the Gateshead game they have gone for a weekend out in the Toon! The food after the Gateshead game was at the Hilton Hotel in Newcastle and the city centre sights made quite an impression on the boys!! No matter what time of year it is The Geordie girls always wear next to nothing I dread to think what they'll be wearing in the current climate

Somehow I don't think the boys will mind

that food was realy nice, was the best after match food ive had,, bet it was not cheap, that will cost gateshead a lot of money over the season,
