I was really pleased to see someone like Tezza say something positive about heartland rugby league clubs instead of Sky and their buddies talking abour expansion that is never gonna work in the long term. Well done Terry. "Why not both of them?," said O'Connor. "I have always had a lot of affection for Halifax: I almost signed for them back in '97 when John Pendlebury was the coach and they are a genuine heartland club. "I've nothing against teams in France or Wales, but I want to see the teams like Widnes and Halifax, clubs with real salt of the earth rugby league supporters, do well. "Both clubs are doing all the right things on and off the field and I hope that continues to pay dividends for them." |
