Family Haka : Tue Apr 28, 2009 3:40 pm
The main event in Calderdale to celebrate National Family Week will be on Tuesday 26th May 2009 from 12.30 pm – 3.30 pm at North Bridge Leisure Centre.
It will take the form of a “FAMILY HAKA” based on the New Zealand Kiwi Rugby Haka. It is a traditional Maori form of cheerleading, the purpose of which is to unify the group, motivate them and go into battle together with a frenzy of energy!
Our leader will be Frank Watene, Halifax RLFC First Team Maori, supported by Calderdale Community Coaching Trust.
All families are welcome to attend this free event which is jointly sponsored by the Calderdale Families’ Information Service.
