Posted this on the Hudds board but would be grateful if anyone on here can give an answer



As has been reported in the Huddersfield and Halifax press, a body was found on the moors near buckstones edge.

Upto last night, The road was still closed while the police carried out a search of the area.

Anyway, to my point, Does anyone know if the transpennine section that was closed has reopened yet? I tend to use this route when travelling between Oldham and Huddersfield & Halifax.

Never use the M11 on a Thursday or a day with a F in it. I would use Highway 49 south.

I could see across there today, Brew when I came down the A62 past the Carriage House towards Marsden. I'm sure I could see traffic on the road.

Cheers TS, though the picture on the courier site shows a load of police vehicles parked on the road.

Don't fancy chancing it, long way to go back if I get part of the way and come across a roadblock.
