"Quote" But perhaps most impressive is another bumper Wildcats home crowd – 9,237 for a Saturday TV game in the cold and wet is a fine effort from one of Super League’s most progressive clubs "Gareth Walker the Mirror"

The side will be made up of welsh players, which i think will be great for the sport.

Spot on Pyeman :thumb: , I feel that the sport will grow and grow in Wales and having two clubs to turn too gives the Welsh players more chance of playing Rugby League, above Amature level, also this will make the Welsh National team stronger..., Hoping to fit in a few games, when you come to Yorkshire... :ROCKS:

You are right pyeman, they haven`t announced any players yet, but I would imagine the team will be made up from the Crusaders reserves and the players selected in the trial which is on the 10th.
It should be a very competative trial as I know for a fact that there has been a lot of interest from players from the Wales Dragonhearts (4 Nations Champions), last years Crusaders U18`s (National Youth League Champions) and the pick from the Welsh Conference sides, all of which are capable of playing in this league.

Let's not exaggerate. CC1 is a step up from BARLA winter leagues let alone the RLC. Most Welsh RLC players would struggle against NCL players.

Many will make the step up with professional coaching but but most RLC players wouldn't be able to.

SOMEBODY SAID that it couldn’t be done
But he with a chuckle replied
That “maybe it couldn’t,” but he would be one
Who wouldn’t say so till he’d tried.
So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin
On his face. If he worried he hid it.
He started to sing as he tackled the thing
That couldn’t be done, and he did it!

I totally agree with you that CC1 is a step up, all I am saying is that with the mix of Crusaders reserves and the pick of the best players from the Welsh Conference the Scorpions should be competative.
What you have to remember a lot of the reserves have already played in this league with the Crusaders a couple of years back and a lot of Welsh Conference players play Union in Div 1 + 2 which itself is highly competative, I know Union is a different game but these are very talented rugby players and have played in the Welsh Conference because until now there has been nowhere else to play league.

Yes, I agree, Scorpions should be competitive.
