Strength & Conditioning testing : Fri Apr 12, 2013 2:00 pm
As the Armed Forces Rugby League World Cup draws closer, your players are nearing the end of their 12 week strength and conditioning programme as produced by Sam Dovey and his team at Kettlebell UK. The results of their hard work over this period will become evident to Head Coach Wayne Okell & Strength & conditioning Coach Sam Dovey next week, when the squad get together for their second assessment and testing day at the Marjon University College in Plymouth. Each player understands the importance placed upon them to have completed the Strength & Conditioning programme which combined with a strict dietary and supplements package, as supplied by Reflex nutrition & UDO’s for sport, will see each player heading towards peak physical condition for the kick off of the tournament, to be held at the Colchester Garrision, at the end of June.
Okell and his coaching staff will soon have the unenviable task of cutting his train on squad of 50 down to those who will represent Great Britain Armed Forces to retain their current World Champion Status.
The squad will go into player performance camp in May & June to put Okells playing structure into place.
