How are you going to be able to show him that it is not safe if you cannot enter the area for fear of your own safety.

By pointing him in the general direction from where its safe.

You can mock all you want but people who actually live close to these areas will tell you the same thing.

It's a long walk home to St Helens everyday from Preston then.

I hope you are legally here from Carassonne.

Ah the classic Daily Mail trope. People aren't legally required to claim asylum in the first country they arrive in, that's fundamental to the entire international asylum system. Although countries like Italy already take in many tens of thousands more than the few who make it to our shores.

There are lots of reasons people may want to continue on to the UK or other countries and family ties are the dominant reason.
I thought we'd established that, for many it is because they are afraid of being killed.

Point 1 - looks like the dangers in some areas of the UK have been highlighted to you - seems its you who has his head in the sand.

Point 2 - The point was about find a safe haven - not a better quality of safe haven. Surely getting to the UK suggests more of economic migration rather than any safe place migration?

Point 3 - Look at Iran - people are fighting the regime for change - some will get killed/executed - but the fight continues don't see many doing a runner despite living in a brutal environment

I'm never going to fail to find it hilarious that hardmen Tories talk big about how tough they are on everything and everything and about how weak-minded and willed young folk are. Yet it turns out they're apparently absolutely terrified at the prospect of simply walking down the street in a couple of our northern towns.

But to be clear to our snowflakey right wing friends: there are no streets in this country which are off limits and none which I'd be afraid to walk down. I'll come and hold your hand if you need me to.

I see Roy is still yet to contact me to arrange a meet for Preston or Blackburn so I can show him the sights.

Any other keyboard warriors want to take his place? Ghost of 99 maybe?

If you conduct yourself in person with the same mannerism as on here, then no wonder its not safe for you to go into certain areas.
They are probably good areas until you step in them.
