Hilarious. Absolutely bloody hilarious

Of course they should have holidays.

However, if the poop is raining down, you would expect that Ministers would be back behind their desk PDQ.
In fact, knowing that their is a serious situation about to happen (the deadline in Afghanistan was already in place), perhaps they should have done what anyone else would be expected to do and postpone their break.

Raab has one of the most important posts in government, he's not the tea boy

As a matter of interest ,are the Arab & Muslim nations evacuating people . Everything seems to be centred on UK/US/EU or so the impression is given.

I dont suppose that their need is quite as great, as they weren't seen as the enemy.
Mind you, there are plenty of Afghans trying to get over the border into Iran and Pakistan etc.

I dont think the English are too welcome in Iran though

Can't argue with any of it really, plus if he lied about the phone call he should go

He certainly lied about the sea being closed because it wasn’t. What he apparently meant was that a red flag was in operation but this may not have been on the beach he was not sat on.

Apparently, he wasn't on the beech but back in his room dealing with important business :LIAR:
If he was so busy with business, perhaps he should have flown back.
It's a repeat of Dominic Cummings, making his story fit events, instead of actually telling the truth.
Mind you, honesty and integrity are key values completely missing from this government and the clown PM.

I now see that we didn’t want to waste the Talaban’s time finding those that worked for us by leaving their details in the Embassy. This was apparently caused by the speed of evacuation because someone failed to make a call which would have allowed them a little more time.
