Sounds like you're covered then. The game has a one on one mode where you get 5 points for taking someone on with a nutmeg, 3 for flicking it over them and 1 for just going past them, with the aim being first to so many points.
I think it then has 2 on 2 up to 5 a side on pitches from car parks up to full size 5 a side pitches.
It's not the animation. That is caused by the defender you are controlling automatically trying to win the ball because of it's distance from him, much in the same way as they will auto-tackle a player if they run sufficiently close to you. I'm not sure if you can turn 'auto tackle' off in the options at all, but have a look and see if you can set defending to fully manual like you can attacking.
I wouldn't mind seeing little gimmicky game modes as well, like heads and volleys, one-touch footy, no overhead heights, etc.
That was just one example I was giving, another is when a player does the running chest control instead of heading/letting it bounce. I hate that, it always happens on 50/50s, my defender will usually do the running chest, but lose all speed and will get it nicked off him easily for an easy goal. There are so many little things, mainly the AI and defending, that destroy the biggest sports game of them all. I will always play Fifa because there are many aspects I enjoy, but I grow more and more frustrated with the stupidity of the game.
Had a quick go on a Vita today in the Sony Store. Games look good (not as amazing as some had made out mind) and I really like the potential of the touch sensitive surface on the back, but all in all I came away feeling it is overpriced and, gaming functionality aside not very useful.
I'm a good few years behind here.... But about 75% of the way through Red Dead Redemption, why did I not play this earlier!!!!! brilliant game. The horse can be a bit annoying at times though.

Fantastic engine for a game I agree. I loved the horses, just riding around was a pleasure. But I just wish they had put some sort of difficulty into the game. You can just romp through the game and the only time I ever died was when animals I was trying to kill to get achievements mutilated me. The missions themselves are ridiculously easy.
Just a heads up for anyone who has some reward points built up at GAME. I would advise you to get them redeemed asap as thre are strong rumours the chain won't be around much longer.
They have recently announced that they will not be stocking Mass Effect 3, probably one of the biggest titles of the year, and also all other EA games from here onwards. That is massive revenue lost right there. I also had SSX pre-ordered with these guys, which they have now cancelled. So it doesn't look like they'll be stocking SSX either.
Strangely, it is also currently impossible to order Mario Party 9 from their website either (I tried buying this out of panic, in an attempt to redeem some of my points!).

I just could not get into that game and as Saddened! says it was far too easy. I couldn't do with finishing a mission and ending up in the middle of nowhere...then I realised you could fast travel. The atmosphere to the game is pretty good though.
Good riddance to Game I say. Years of overpriced games that have been out for ages and getting next to nothing for a newish game you want to trade in. Only people that do shop there are people who don't know anything about computer games and want to spend £35-£40 everytime a games released!

Yup. They never really stood a chance against the supermarkets. I went in for The Darkness 2 the other day and it was £42.99 in there. Left it and got it for £27.99 from Tesco the same day.
Them not stocking Mass Effect is a result of EA refusing to give them extended credit terms and price reductions in order to remain in business, with the theory that the games companies need a dedicated high street presence to remain in the public eye. If Game went, all Gamestation stores would also presumably go and that would leave most town centres with no gaming stores at all, which can't be a good thing for the likes of EA.
But are they actually going bust or is this not just to do with the restructuring they had planned? Game also own Gamestation and Gameplay, meaning there wasn't any real competition on the high street anyway. They announced before Christmas that they would be consolidating to 1 brand from the 3 and this week sent vouchers to customers of Gameplay and Gamestation which can only be used with Game I believe?
