Where are these East Yorkshire and West Yorkshire of which you speak?
As far as I'm concerned they are vague, unnecessary and irrelevant delineations.

Now the East, West (and North) Ridings ... those I understand.

Hmmm, I think you may have mentioned this in the past and I've always been too polite to point out that only the part of York that lies within the City walls is included in the not-in-a-Riding denomination.
Unless you are, indeed, a native of that enclave?
