The labour position on Brexit is pretty clear in their manifesto, isn't it? To hounor the referendum result, remain in the customs union, maintain ties to the single market, protect workers rights, maintain a soft Irish border, and to take all steps to avoid a no deal. All positions which the EU seem to think are workable. l.
Yes they will , because all that includes free movement , so essentially staying in the EU

It should all get interesting again this afternoon. I wonder if the threat of resignations, on her front bench, will cause the expected delay in Brexit.
A second referendum is just ridiculous and with uncertainty already harming the ecconomy, just how long do "we" want this to go on for.
Mrs May has been truly shocking as a leader and has completely lost control of her own MP's, never mind providing any kind of effective government. The country seems to be being "run" by the equivalent of the "stand in teacher", with all of the class doing whatever they please, without any fear of the consequences. #Toryanarchy

It isnt just the tories though is it , jeremy's had more positions now than the karma Sutra , the latest being remain and remain , when for decades he's been a brexiteerer as are probably the majority of his partys voters

I totally agree. Apart form being a lifelong Eurosceptic, Corbyn has tried his hardest not to personally commit to any position on Brexit, hoping instead to force a general election. Unfortunately this has failed and he may now end up having to support a second referendum and ironically, can only be saved form this if Mrs May gets her deal through parliament. So many MP's supposedly trying "to respect the result of the referendum" but, working "to remain", not quite carrying out the wishes of "the people". Why oh why, didn't May set up a cross party group at the outset and instead, try to force HER own vision of Brexit, which could never and will never get past the finish line. She's had one task to complete and has almost been forgiven for abandoning everything else in the Tory manifesto and she has mad an absolute hash of it. Comfortably the worst Prime Minister in history and The Tories can only get rid if she chooses to step down.

You seriously think a ' cross party group ' could have been formed , or worked ? , would jeremy have done that ? , do you seriously think if labour had won the 2017 election we'd have been in any better a position now ?

In honesty, probably not.
However, with both parties split on the EE, the only way that ANY deal can get through parliament, is with MP voting with the opposition. If EITHER party is serious about Brexit, there will have to be some cross party consensus, if not it cant happen.
Even if Labour managed to seize power (very unlikely), we would end up back in the same place but, this time Labour would need help form some of the Tories.

Again, because this line gets trotted out repeatedly by the Leavers. Two thirds of Labour voters backed Remain. Almost three quarters of the membership.
Where you get the notion otherwise, I really don’t know.

This.
Added to the fact that the Labour position on Brexit has been crystal clear since the party conference.
All this ballcocks about Labour's position is just lazy, rented opinions from MSM journalists, acting as stenographers for the Tories.
