You have to remember that he has a keen interest in fishing. Mind you, it's still worth jumping on the hook occasionally.
The only interest I have in fishing is to see the thieving French and Spanish fishermen that steal our fish if that helps, I do have a keen interest in keeping fish though that would be tropical and marine, something you clearly are clueless about, maybe stick to Boris bashing eh!

No worries Squire.
I was intrigued by your comment "grudging admiration towards him the way he's thrust himself to the fore in this wicked business in Eastern Europe." It could have been take straight from "The Mail" but, is frankly, a ridiculous statement.
Have you not realised that The UK's standing on the world stage has shrunk, like an ice cube in a teapot.
The EU, once our closest friends (aside from The Americans) just laugh at us now and with logistical issues getting ever more difficult across the globe, "we" made things just a little more difficult to trade with our closest market.
As for Putin, he seems more deranged than Boris but, he's a little more dangerous.
It's difficult to work out whether Ukraine actually believes it can repel the invasion or, whether they are just hoping that things escalate to a point where the rest of the world gets involved. God help us if that happens.
This is about Ukraine not de Pfeffel, we only register with Putin because of the fact that they could lose a very lucrative way of laundering money through the U.K.. He knows however that de Pfeffel will not see this happen.

That was not a comment but simply a question based on the lack of the normal bitterness towards the Prime Minister, hope that clears the matter up.

Not a very good analogy really if the ice cube in the teapot is in the freezer is it, and what has having logistical issues across the globe got to do with the troublesome French?

Maybe you'd be better off not trying to work it out then and leave it to those that have a better idea, not sure what all this has to do with the growing popularity of Boris anyway.

I see your still making a spectacle of yourself trying to get people to call him depriferol, it'll never catch on

You're starting to sound a little confused.
As for "leaving it to others", this is an open forum. You know, somewhere to share ideas and opinions. Not sure wheat the "troublesome French, specifically, have to do with this but, maybe, they are just a country/race that you dont like. Generally, I've always found them to be ok.
As for the teapot and ice cube. It's hot tea in a teapot, with a shrinking ice cube - just thought you ought to know, to avoid anymore confusion.

Oh dear, someone's been reading the lies printed in the Daily Mail
As for Johnson, he's such a diminished figure on the world stage compared to previous British Prime Ministers it's almost painful to see. That journalist who shamed him yesterday gave a hint of what the rest of the world thinks. And only the most deluded cheerleader would claim he or his government have in any way led on this, reliant as they are on dirty oligarch money.
I see your still making a spectacle of yourself trying to get people to call him depriferol, it'll never catch on
From this it appears that what you consider the greatest crime is me calling him by his name and not the alleged funds being laundered through London with some being donated to the ruling party. I think it is you squire who is making a spectacle of yourself and who need to get his priorities right.

So what you are saying then is your best mate is personally compliant with Russian funds being laundered through the London financial sector, and to quote you I need to get my priorities right, perhaps you could put me on the road to redemption and point out what my priorities are, all I'm guilty of his asking the anti Boris brigade if now they'd had time for reflection if they thought they're condemnation of the man was some what over zealous, if you think that calling him by the name depriferol makes you stand out from everybody else, then by all means matey fill yer boots
