It looks like this conflict has claimed its first victim over here, "Lady" Warsi has resigned as a minister because the government's stance on Gaza is 'morally indefensible'. Is it more or less indefensible than government policies that screw over the sick, disabled, poor, all the while inflating the wealth of the rich and their friends in the City.

I think we'll call this new fad "Gaza Hypocrisy"
She had served her purpose for the Tories - a vociferous female from an ethnic minority to show how they'd modernised! No longer need as the old public schools feel untouchable.

So she's the Tory version of Dianne Abbot? A racist with a chip on her shoulder. This kind of thing aggrivates the living sh*t out of me though, where was her resignation over Syria, Libya, Iraq, and you could argue Ukraine too, it seemed the ''west'' were quite involved with destabilising the ELECTED Ukrainian government for it's own gains, which has resulted in the deaths of hundreds of people, a lot of them soldiers and militants of course, but I'm sure the Maylaysia jet and it's 200+ innocent passengers wouldn't have been blown out of the sky were it not for the situation over there. Are some people too blind to see their own hypocrisy?

Well, that opened my eyes even more. What a stinking hypocrite, yet of course the Gaza bandwagoners will say she's ''brave'', ''honourable'' and ''good for her''.

It seems she deliberately engineered the resignation in an attempt to cause maximum damage to the government. She gave them an hours notice before she was going to tweet her resignation. Whatever your opinion on what is going on in Gaza you would think any government minister would give the government she is a member of the time to assuage any issues she had and if no suitable explanations or assurances were forthcoming then resign but given Cameron was on holiday and the time limit she set this was a decision already made.
There is as much if not more politics in her decision as principle. I wouldn't be surprised for her to turn up as a UKIP candidate in a predominantly Muslim constituency once again failing to recognise the tokenism that got her the nomination in the fist place. She is a nasty piece of work IMO who delighted in being part of the establishment she now claims to dislike (Old Etonian mob running the country).

I doubt UPRIK would have her anywhere near them. So far she's managed to lose the only election she's fought.
There will be more to come though, of that there is no doubt. Apparently she was a very dilligent diarist and I don't reckon it will be too long before those diaries see the light of day.
Michael Howard enobled her and brought her into the shadow cabinet simply as a token: non-white, female and Muslim - ticks a lot of boxes. Then Cameron stuck with her, despite fact that she was a gobshite and thick as two planks, facts that seem to have passed him by. He's never been noted as a good picker of people

You forgot to mention token Notherner in the list. She was good value for money in the tokenism stakes - why have 4 oiks filling up seats that Etonians could fill when 1 would do!
