Presumably the same reasons as he's surely against (or fearful of) NATO. Loss of control, anyone? Needing to take control back?

I realise that the leading Brexiteers have already admitted the immigration control subtext was basically a lie, but are we still getting the extra £ 300m+ a week for the NHS, or has that gone the way of the immigration claims too? My bet is that we 'leave' the EU sometime in the next ten years, for some kind of affiliate status, which gives us access to single market. But in return we still need to pay the same level of net contribution we do now, we still need to have freedom of movement (there might be some token concessions about needing to have job before they come) , oh and to access that single market we'll need to be compliant with the EU law we no longer have any say in. But we will be officially OUT, even if OUT isn't what the Brexiteers thought they were getting.
Are you serious ??
The net contribution to the EU was around £175 million per week (after deducting the various grants that came back into the UK) so, there was NEVER going to be an extra £350 million for anything.
There also still needs to be an agreement reached with the EU to allow us to trade with them and NOBODY yet knows how that will develop.
There were lies and exaggerations on both sides of the Brexit campaign and because both sides were hashed together coalitions, we will never be able to hold either side to account.
It will certainly be interesting to see how it all plays out and the best hope that we have is for the EU as an organisation to crumble and we can then make individual trade deals with who we want.

I think that is inevitable. Always been a matter of when not if.

There is already an EU parliament, there is an EU council, there is an EU commission. Now there is going to be an EU army. That is basically an EU superstate. Foundations for a global government

Unless Brussels made the UK sell arms to Saudi Arabia, we already can and do.

Yeah we know, the Pound may have parity with the Euro by then, it's all going swimmingly.
Oh, & all the Northern folk who voted for a brighter future, well guess what?
The "Northern Powerhouse" has been put on the back burner & once the cash that was diverted North via Brussels has dried up, it's a Fait Accompli, oh the irony.
Oh well, at least they can rape the North one last time - Go Fracking!
