2 programmes to be broadcast on Monday 30th July should be interesting.
Dispatches. 8pm, Channel 4 “Using undercover filming, reporter Jackie Long investigates the shocking processes used to assess whether sickness and disability benefit claimants should be declared fit for work.”
Disabled or faking it? 8.30pm, BBC2 “Panorama investigates the government's plans to end the so-called 'sick note culture' and their attempts to get millions of people off disability benefits and into work. In Britain's modern welfare state, millions are being paid to private companies to assess sick and disabled claimants but is the system working? Or are new tests wrongly victimising those who deserve support the most?”

Bearing in mind Atos provide the BBC with all their IT services I'm not expecting a balanced view.

Bearing in mind Panorama isn't a shadow of the programme it was, neither am I.
If it is unbalanced then we can add the name of the BBC to the list of government departments and media outlets who are hellbent on brainwashing the British people into thinking we are scrounging, faking, cheating scum.

Advice is what we seek when we already know the answer - but wish we didn't

Looking forward to this one; its all going to come out in the wash, but its only what I and others have been saying for the last year or so, at least its going out nationally now.

Very pleasantly surprised and delighted at both programmes. Britain (and the Sin Bin) is now fully aware of the motives of the DWP, Atos, the Tories and that liar Grayling. At least you have all heard it from the horses mouth and don't have to wonder if I'm making it all up now
And just on another note, Prof Harrington shown in the Panorama documentary, quit today. Nice to see him standing by his principles saying its the WCA is not fit for purpose.

I dont think Atos are fit for purpose either. The whole thing is a joke top to bottom.

The Ministry of Justice produced a video for publication on youtube, informing benefits claimants how best to approach an appeal tribunal. Atr the insistance of Chris Graying, the video was pulled and when it later re-appeared, was pulled again.
So, it now appears that the DWP are not only content with removing benefits from the most vulnerable, they want to make sure that those whose benefits were removed unfairly, can't get a chance of winning an appeal.
Seems like Grayling has had another outing as a liar, two in one week (Panorama; "there are no financial targets" as the Atos Doctor is seen saying "its about getting as many people off the benefit as possible")
