Yet, here we are and Boris Johnson is still Prime Minister. Stupidity, selfishness and dishonesty are not always major barriers to political success. The Starmer-Saville thing wasn't off the cuff, it's part of a strategy, proposed by Mogg, to fully Trumpify the British political scene with lies and smears and dog whistles that are so many and various and repeated so often they can't be effectively repelled. Johnson is absolute scum, he's willing to poison our democracy to cling to power. This is the worst, most depressing article I've read in a long time. Bill Clinton's abuse of his power re the intern is, by current standards, definitely removal from office stuff.

However the corruption, undermining of democracy, anti-Americanism and neo-fascism of Trump are in a different league.
