He certainly doesn't have the baggage Hillary had, and, he'll probably have a better chance of bringing the parties together than she would have. However, the Democrats have failed to win the Senate, and have a reduced majority in the Congress, so Biden being president doesn't necessarily mean much will change from a legislative perspective. Although, at least Biden can get the big pen out and bypass them anyway.
It's also important that the Democrats start planning for 2024, because it's highly unlikely he'll get a 2nd term. I'm assuming Harris will be the planned successor, but she's obviously not going to be very popular with a lot of white America, and she's a polarising figure in the black community also.
