Just been down my mates allotment and got given sprouts, cabbage (ajw variety) parsnips and a swede.
Also spuds and onions that he had stored from earlier this year at home.
Slow cooker, beef casserole looks the way forward.

How many people are only getting £70 a week? I would assume your council tax will also be covered through benefits?

Many who are singularly unemployed I would imagine.
Council tax wasn't paid if unemployed but as of last year a percentage has now to be found.
Think it's 25% of the annual bill.
