Who is it off here who has changed their Xbox Live gamertag to 'ImRdy2Fk'?
My Mrs walks past when I'm playing on the Xbox the other night and was rather puzzled as to why such words were appearing on the screen.
Is it you, trying to drop a subtle hint?

Microsoft soccer was great (Think it was on the amiga, but could have been earlier than that!!)
Banana shots where crazy, with a strong wind you could get the ball to smack you on the back of your player.
Don't know about that one, but I DO remember a demo of Empire Soccer on the Amiga, which may have changed its name at release. It was a side-on view, and kicking the ball into the back of a player would knock them over, as you could with the photographers which were situated at the sides of the goals.
I would suggest though, if it was on the Amiga, was it more likely to have been "Microprose" soccer? I could be wrong, I'm no expert on football games, but I'm not sure Microsoft ever developed a football game, or anything for the Amiga.
Downloaded Pro Evo 12 demo last night. Will let you know what its like when I have a go tonight!
Thoughts?
I'm not too keen on the off the ball movement feature. Perhaps controlling two players at the same is too much for my brain to take! I'm going to try the fifa 12 demo and hope that it impresses me. Fifa is just so far in front of pes now it's untrue, but I just can't seem to get into the fifa style of play and the game engine they use.
I've been a loyal pes fan ever since the iss pro games back on the ps1, but this year may be the year when I finally switch over to fifa instead.
While we are one great football games, FIFA have never topped the Road to World Cup '98. I had it on the PC. No football game has ever topped that for longevity!

With Des Lynam! I remember that game being really easy.

Not confusing it with Emlyn Hughes International Soccer for the C64 are you?
That game was ace - with a hard enough shot you could just score straight from the kick-off
While we are on the subject of retro football games I'm trying to find the name of an old arcade game I used to virtually camp on as a kid when on holiday in Spain. At the time it was WAY ahead of what I had at home and I want to see if there any left anywhere.
It was a low cabinet, one you pulled two chairs up next to with a roller ball each and two buttons. The game itself was very much like Kick Off, top down view. The passing and shooting on it were fantastic and it was graphically brilliant for it's time. Things I remember about it are when you cleared a ball or lobbed it, the ball got bigger to make it look like it was moving closer to you.
