Wh-aaaat?

So many illusions shattered on this thread, I may stop reading it now.

Joy unconfined.

Having been absent for a few days due to work and a blethering cold, I return to find you've all been feeding the trolls.

Still, I suppose it keeps them out of mischief.

Wow I didn't think it was possible for anyone to be this dumb. Yes humans are humans however we are also apes just as we are also mammals, vertebrates, animals etc. Your response is the equivalent of saying that a Samsung Galaxy is not a phone unless you can show me a Samsung Galaxy that isn't a Samsung Galaxy.

I don't know how long humans or any life has been around, though obviously animals and plants are slightly older than mankind.

Actually they have been around more than slightly longer rather animals have been around for hundreds of millions of years. And unlike your assertions in this thread there is actual scientific evidence to show this.

I used to be a non-believer and was fascinated with the arguments put forward by the likes of Sagan and Dawkins. My born again experience occurred AFTER hearing all the supposed evidence to the contrary.

The Holy Spirit drew me closer to God and then I learned more about Jesus and was born again. Call the work of the Spirit what you want.

This doesn't address what I said, I don't care about your personal experience. I was responding to your comment that suggested we need to seek god first in order to have "evidence", which shows confirmation bias.

No, Genesis 1 is quite clear that humans came after animals but not from animals. To say that we are animals now is pure lunacy.

But your ‘scientific evidence’ is not consistent with scripture, nor is it necessarily the truth. For centuries scientists had us all convinced that the sun orbited the Earth. No doubt that was the ‘truth’ of the day.

Wanting something to be true does not necessarily mean you are biased. If that were the case, I could accuse atheists who hate religion of the same crime – they blaspheme against the Holy Spirit because they are stubborn and want to be their own masters.

'tis fun though...

It can be, but if you look any more than superficially, kirkstaller is just on a wind-up mission, and it isn't much fun putting points for debate to him, since (as I have repeatedly demonstrated conclusively) he will avoid a specific response to a specific question like the plague. And then his tactics are depressingly standard, if pressed, he will either make increasingly absurd metaphysical claims, or produce purely moronic self-fulfilling "answers" ("because he is god and he just can"; "because it says so in my bible"; or some such irritating non-responses. Or else say he can't be bothered looking up your questions, and could you please repeat them. Then he will go back to square one with his avoidance technique.

The one bit I haven't quite worked out is what it is he hopes to achieve. Even he must have worked out by now that his views on thing like this are viewed as risible, and held in utter contempt by his chosen target audience. It is pointless him re-spouting the drivel. And yet he does. The likelihood to me is he must aim to wind people up. And yes some of the stuff is fun, but the funniest aspect for me is some of his "god" explanations, such as the six days bit etc., which are laugh-out-loud, coffee-spluttering barkingly mad-funny, and it isn't necessary to respond to his drivel in order to have a good laugh.

And it's also fun to just occasionally give him a poke, to perplex him for amusement. Which I may shortly do.

But you work for Satan, and your imminent return to the thread was correctly predicted by kirkstadamus, this must conclusively prove something or other. :D

Is it? This must mean you can point us to evidence that we are not animals. I await this, breathlessly.

And what is the "truth" of it, and precisely where do you get that information from? You can't be alluding to non-religious, scientific discoveries - can you? :)

Is this the same Holy Spirit that allegedly made a virgin pregnant? As well as knocking up Elisabeth for good measure, despite her being past it, and without so much as a by-your-leave? You see this guy as a role model for masters?

Don't be silly, the faithful always knew the Earth was not the centre of the universe, they must have done, as surely having been praying for that many centuries, the info had seeped through? No, the truth of the matter is that they did not burn any heretics, this is all just disinformation planted in history by god, like the fossil record, to bemuse the non-believer.

Certainly took you in, anyway.
