If your coming to the end of your contract, then request your PUK and move to another provider.

The Desire is a superb phone, i recommend it, just not a Orange branded version.

I am approaching the end of my contract (23/7). Is the Desire badly branded by any other providers? I want to cut out the middle men (CPW) and go direct with a supplier if at all possible.

I have it on Voda, the only bit of branding is a scene, although this is just a renamed version of another scene. There are no logo's or applications installed by voda.

I'll look into it with Voda then.

Its a choice between that and the Xepria X10, thoughts?

The x10 runs a earlier version of Android, not sure when its due to be upgraded. Looks a nice phone though.

HTC Desire if the rumours are true should be upgraded at the end of this month.

Thanks Viper, looked at both in CPW, the X10 looks good just the OS upgrade lets it down.

Is anyone having problems with Orange? Currently my phone is taking the pish, and has been for months. I recieve a text which should of come through hours ago but comes through 2 hours later!
Went in to Orange and they said it was something to do with the 3G network making changes or so.

Apart from that I'm fed up of my phone now and would like something different. What is the earliest in a 24 months contract you can see about getting a new phone (been bought out of this contract) or do you think if I told them about this problem which has been going on for months they may be able to do a deal of some sort?

Same as O2, selling loads of phones and the Network can't cope.
