Yes it is, never used one mate, i know what you mean but thought you would still need a service provider of some sorts and for updates etc

Coming to the end of my contract at around the end of August and wondering whether to upgrade to a better phone. Currently got the Samsung Omnia.

Don't really want to go near the iPhone, mainly because everyone has one and they seem to be more style over substance.

I've heard a little bit about this Android thing. Is it worth looking into a phone that uses the platform/technology?

The HTC Desire is a quality phone. The screen on it is amazing. Kind of wishing i'd have got it rather than the X6

Whilst I no nothing about mobile 'phones nor want to my wife has an iPhone and its very good. I also asked our IT consultant and he reckoned nothing comes close to it.

I'm thinking maybe the Samsung Galaxy S. Not out yet but should hopefully should be available when it comes round to renewing my contract with Vodafone. I've gone with Samsung for the last 3 phones that I've had so I'll probably end up sticking with them again.

It is. By far the best phone I've ever used and comfortably the best available here currently.

iPhone's are good phones, like alot of Apple products they are easy to use and stylish the only down side is the poor battery life and no flash support.
