As its following the Gherkin shouldn't they have called it the Chard.

Stood by the Thames somewhere near Tower Bridge last year watching it go up - most impressive. Glad I didn't have the job of fixing those panes of glass into place though.

I don't actually mind the nicknames ... I still refer to the Sainsbury Wing of the National Gallery as the Carbuncle, even though it's not actually the building whose plan Prince Charles was criticising when he used that term.

I was in London in Feb and stopped in a hotel next to St Pauls. I never saw that building! *runs to check the 3000 photos taken*
