Government proposes end of the Sick note : Sun Nov 20, 2011 1:08 pm
I see those caring Tories are now looking to attack the Sick Note.
Apparently GP's all live in a climate of fear, from feckless scroungers who force them to put them on the long term sick. As a result the government is looking to remove the GP from being responsible for issuing sick notes. Instead it looks like a Quango is planned to be set up to manage such matters. Can just imagine this Quango being given a target for sick notes issued over a period. Once that is exceeded its no more sick notes for people regardless of their illness. People will then be told they have no valid reason to not be in work. They will then be forced to go in work or be in breach of the companies employment rules. Thereby allowing the company to sack them. http://news.sky.com/home/uk-news/article/16113419 http://www.conservativehealth.org/index ... ing-street http://conservativehome.blogs.com/platf ... and-c.html |
