What it does say is that your information is wrong!

The Swarm are attending the Grand Final Day. When the original date was released after no consultation with the clubs are far as I can fathom. We already had a fixture booked away to the Celtic Barbarians, and as it Swarm policy not to cancel fixtures we had little choice but to turn down the Grand Final.
I then received a call from Tony Gragan of York and Tom Allen of the RFL to see if we could attend on the new date and we agreed we could fit that date in if it was 7`s.
So where you get your ideas from is a mystery.

On the subject of fixtures here is Halifaxs fixture list:- http://forums.rlfans.com/viewtopic.php?t=398750

For contrast here is Hull`s :- http://forums.rlfans.com/viewtopic.php?t=390042

And finally the Swarms:- http://forums.rlfans.com/viewtopic.php?t=400056

As you will see there is no comparison!
ACHEIEVEMNETS OF THE SWARM IN PROMOTING TAG RUGBY LEAGUE THIS YEAR.

Hosted the largest ever Adult Tag Rugby League Festival in the UK!

On the back of that the RFL were able to launch a Tag Rugby League in Bradford were the majority of participants came because of a direct link to the Swarms Festival.

Tag Rugby League is now played in Scotland again off the back of the Swarms Festival.

Delivered coaching sessions in Tag Rugby League to a group of predominately Asian Young adults.

We were accepted into the CVS (Council for Voluntary Services) because of the work we have done.

Received a grant from the Foundation for Sport to assist in hosting further Festivals after the success of our first one.

We were the only team to travel to London and play the Skolars, who have now gone on to form a 4 League Tag rugby set up across London.

We are now working with Supporters Direct and will be hosting an Indoor Tag Rugby League Festival at the end of November for the Rugby League Trusts.

Had articles about Tag Rugby in League Express, League Weekly, TGG, Rochdale Observer, Rochdale Online, The Metro Express alongside the RFL`s own website.

Think its over to you?

I will admit I have been critcal of Rochdale, but there are a lot of good jobs there.

However, I think people's annoyance comes with your seemingly more enthusiam for festivals, rather then focusing on the league.

Also, you will see on the fixtures you posted from us and Halifax, they are all league fixtures. I think the amount of festivals that have cropped up this year is beyond ridiculous. Surely the best way to promote tag, is to have one major, well promoted festival in the year, and a well promoted grand final day.

We play in a as many festivals as we can because we prefer them, Its as simple as that.
From our experience Tag works better at 7 a side rather than 13.
In reality that is what the majority of people prefer. The Bradford League, The Skolars League, there's even a League based in Devon who play Tag at 7 a side.
Around the world in Australia and New Zealand were they play OzTag or in Ireland 7`s has proved to be a winner. There's even a Tag League just started in France and they have gone with 7`s.
I think that for the TML to continue and prosper that it needs to adopt 7`s as its standard format, played in a fortnightly format with Festival points going towards a final League Table.
I believe that in York next season they are having their own Tag League alongside Bradfords.

The Swarm are going to be running a Spring Tag League as well with probably 4 teams playing in a 7 week league.

I think Teams should look to forming their own Tag Leagues.

But thats for another debate.

FFS - i am locking this thread - can we go with one week without having a pop at each other.

Mark you have done a good job for tag rugby and fine if you prefer to do it outside TML - thats fine too.

We dont have to consult with clubs when trying to get the availability of a stadium - sorry but the venue have a larger say regardless.

Arguing and popping at each other has to stop.
