Personally I'd go to Spain, loads of hull fans will go to lloret, a mate of mine just got a week Santa suzzana with flights and hotel (4*) for just over 200. Then drive or get the Catalan transfer.

Last time I stayed in Canet for 2 nights and then Perpignan for 2 nights and had a great time, but it was expensive, much better value going to Spain.

Quite unusual that. The H-Top we stayed at in Lloret last year was full of them, chasing around and making noise all night :/

It's the type of place I'd like to avoid if I can help it . Anyone stayed further north on the costa ?. Ive been to Palamos but that was over 30 years ago .

Santa susanna is perfect if u dnt want drunken kids, been two years running. Lookin to go again, stayd at the aqua hotel.

Depends what you want to do. The tips above are good for a beach break.

An alternative is to fly to Girona, hire a car, and combine Perpignan with a break in the (Spanish or French) Pyrennees. Lovely driving roads, great scenery, walking, food, mountain villages, etc.

Another alternative is to go to/via Collioures (?spelling?) on the coast near the border. Google images will show you how lovely it is.
