Dusty dump and weather not that great. Nice if you are into half-built breeze block buildings and looking at piles of rubbish.

Going off your brief summary there I'd say you enjoyed the place more then I did!

My mum lives in Malta. Nice place in my opinion, but would not want to live there personally.

The Pale Ale was quite a decent brew.

Apart from that I'd have no wish to return there.

A true paradise for any officianados of WW2 concrete and barbed wire. A driving experience never to be forgotten where locals always drive "in the shade" and ignore any tarffic instruction apart from the odd red light.

Maltas alright...ish. If you can find any culture its quite Italian but dont go there for a beach holiday as its only got one man made one which is carp

i was based in malta with the royal navy in 1957/58,and in 1958,the locals were marching round the streets with placards saying BRITISH GO HOME,they forgot what we did for them in world war2.

Malta is a place you like or you don't
I enjoyed 2 good holiday's there ..But its not every-bodies cup of tea
the people of Malta are great always talk to the people from UK

Ive been a while ago and also very recently with work and I think it's a fairly nice place.
Fair enough it's no Florence, but there's lots of interesting places especially if you get out of Valetta. It has a bright future too with money from the online casinos (they're all based there because of a tax loophole) stimulating the economy, and it's the next big thing in luxury yachting which is helping change the sea frontage.
