We have just won the LLS and will play Wigan or Leeds 5 days after the Bradford game.
Of course we have to rest players to give us the best chance of winning the important games later.

I am looking forward to how the kids go. They should be hungry for success and the likes of Mullally, cording etc will be pushing to show they are ready to step up if any of the first team get injured in the playoffs.

If there is a reason to not go it is that it may be torrential rain in a crap ground!

NOT a disgrace! what is a disgrace is us having finished top get punished by a four day turn round. whilst wigan/leeds get a week. Durham is right the forecast for sat is heavy rain - just the kind of ground/weather we are likely to pick up injuries and knocks.

No problem for me, i've known all week what the squad will be, at the end of the day this is a nothing game now so why not give some of the kids a run out ? I'm looking forward to seeing what they can do.

Only problem to me is the U19's start their play-offs on the same day at Warrington and this has obviously left them severely understrength now.
The 1st team have earnt a rest and these kids have earnt a pop at a 1st team place recently too.

12 of those have played first team rugby this year. Hardly the under 19's.

As others have said we have a short turnaround against opponents that have played 2 days earlier.

Next Thursday will be a much faster more intense game it makes sense to rest as many players as possible. Plus it's an ideal opportunity to give the likes of Leeming, Johnson, Blackmore another go with nothing to lose while at the same time bloody players like Connor, Simpson etc.

When Aspinall played at Salford it was a case of men against boys. I'm all for giving the youngsters a chance, but throw a load in at once and it could get embarrassing.

And Wigsey does have a point. People will be paying good money and travelling away to watch the under 20s.

I can see us getting slated for this!
