Miners U18s won their first friendly game 58 - 14 against a respected Pilkington Recs team that looks to have improvement within its ranks, The Miners forwards who were all outstanding today gave the back line as much go forward as they needed and some champagne rugby was played at times. The collision from both sides was brutal throughout the game and both teams should take credit for the spirit in which the game was played.
Miners as a team showed some fantastic touches and scored some great tries but it was their defence which set the platform for a much deserved win,
