I remember one pay day me and a mate went to a club in Manchester and got involved in a 3 card brag game. I had been doing quite well and around 10-30pm was dealt AKQ on the bounce. My mate said to me bet your wages and I will give you mine to add to it. We were 18 at the time so I bet the lot. Needless to say my opponent who had been going blind won with 3 threes.

We had to walk home to Leigh potless and it took us about 4 hours.

Followin day we won £50 on the Leigh RLFC weekly draw.
