The poor lad was the victim of being friends with Longy during the betting scandal and he was the sacrificial lamb and forced out of the club against his wishes to Warrington. In doing that he missed out on three cup final wins. He then gets forced out of Warrington, again as a scapegoat for the farcical off the field lager culture to join the Pies and again misses out on the big day out.

I've texted Radio 1 to try and get it read out as a 'changing track', it's as good as any of the vomit inducing sob stories they have on there. He probably spent Saturday washing Longy's car or pottering around the garden. Had he not popped into the bookies with Longy that day he'd probably be one of the most decorated players in the game.

or, had you not bought Longy, you'd still have Briers and he and Gleeson would be the two most decorated players in the game, or then again saints may not have won a bean without Longy
